Jesse Raber

Jesse Raber received his Ph.D. in English from Harvard University in 2014. Aside from his work at Poetry in America, he has taught at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Loyola University Chicago, and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He is the author of Progressivism’s Aesthetic Education: The Bildungsroman and the Struggle for The American School, 1890-1920 and is currently working on a literary history of Chicago. He is also a co-creator of the Wintrust Chicago Gallery at the American Writers Museum.
