On Thursday, March 7, 2024, The San Diego Union-Tribune’s Pam Kragen reported on the Robert Frost Society’s poetry conference in honor of his Sesquicentennial (his 150th birthday!). The celebration will take place in San Diego from March 20, 2024 to March 24, 2024 at the San Diego Central Library.

Kragen reports that the Robert Frost Society hopes to see a wide audience from the public, “The reason for moving the society from an academic institution to a public library in 2019 was a goal of making the writings of Frost more accessible to all.”

The celebration, which is free to the public, will consist of numerous events including poetry readings, lectures, book signings, and panel discussions, among others. 

Poetry in America host Elisa New will chair the event’s closing panel on Frost’s poem “The Mending Wall,” which will take place on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at 1:30 PM.
