Jason Davids Scott joins the team from “Poetry in America” as an associate professor at the Sidney Poitier New American Film School at Arizona State University. Dr. Scott is also the Director of Production for the Educational Media Innovation Studios at ASU’s Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation (MLFC), working with Lisa New and her team to create dynamic and impactful educational screen media for all learning environments. Dr. Scott earned degrees in film and theatre from New York University and University of California Santa Barbara and had a long professional career as an entertainment industry public relations and marketing consultant and story analyst before becoming a professor. With two dogs and three cats providing sufficient affection and clutter, Dr. Scott is also deeply passionate about poetry, music, baseball, and making the world a better place through shared knowledge and play.
