This summer, Poetry in America teamed up with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and Wide Open School to offer the Whatever It Takes to Speak Your Mind Challenge. The challenge was a nationwide competition for teens to express themselves across a variety of poetic mediums.

The contest concluded with a Virtual Cipher, celebrating months of work by teens across the U.S. on their own original spoken word, poetry, and rap. Watch it above!
